Samsung ML-5000A
The ML-5000A is a 600 dpi office laser printer and features a 33 MHz RISC processor and 4 MB of memory. The ML-5000A driver interface is quite functional and allows you to choose the resolution, set the graphics mode and select quality options for graphics and greyscale printing. You can also switch economy mode on or off, and specify timings for the power save mode.
The performance of the printer was excellent, with print timings of 52, 45, and 47 seconds for the three test files (text, combo and image file, respectively). The print quality is average for both text and graphics, with a score of 61 points in the quality factor. The ML-5000A logged an overall of 65, which is a very good score. With an economical price tag, the ML-5000A is appropriate for general-purpose office printing, especially where the workload is not too heavy and does not include extensive graphics.
